So we've decided to go with a set device in secondary. We've decided to go with a Windows environment. We want students to be able use the benefits of a touchscreen as well as use a stylus, which requires a tablet style device, but we also want a keyboard.
The MS Surface Pro has all these feature, but small storage and potential issues with the kickstand being flimsy/breakable.
The ASUS Transformer Book TX300 looks like a good solution, but it only works with a capacitive stylus, which isn't as accurate as a digital pen found on the Asus Taichi or Surface Pro.
The Lenovo Yoga looks OK, but not really stylus friendly either.
Sony Vaio has a good stylus, but is really expensive. Might come down though.
Obviously there will be new models out later next year, but we need to figure out which features are definitely needed and which features would be advantageous. Just thought I'd get the ball rolling.
